This role is integral to managing asset data collection projects and leading a dedicated team in the Property or Facility Condition Assessment field. As a Facility Condition Data Analyst, you will oversee the technical assessment of commercial building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP). Expect to deliver comprehensive Property Condition Assessments, Asset Data Collections, and Energy Assessments while ensuring timely and accurate project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough walk-through surveys to evaluate the condition of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, structural components, and site improvements.
Engage with property owners, occupants, and local officials to gather vital information regarding property conditions.
Analyze various documents, such as maintenance reports and inspection logs, to assess building conditions.
Document properties’ conditions through photographs and detailed reports.
Estimate costs for remediation of building deficiencies within relevant timeframes (5 to 50 years).
Provide expert knowledge in specialized areas such as Seismic, ADA, or MEP.
Communicate effectively to meet client goals and expectations.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Need:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
5-7 years of experience in commercial building evaluation or design, with comprehensive knowledge of all building systems.
3-5 years of experience in writing Property or Facility Condition Assessment Reports.
Preferred certifications: Professional Engineer or Registered Architect.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using the Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%).
Desired Experience:
Registered Architect or Licensed Engineer; industry-specific certifications are a plus.
Financial acumen to conduct basic analyses.
Ability to clearly convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
