Job Description

Looking for an experienced individual with excellent communication skills to join our software development team as a Micro Focus COBOL developer. You will be working in a dynamic fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable software solutions. This is an in-office position.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience using Micro Focus COBOL in a Linux/Unix environment.

Preferable knowledge of accounting systems and EDI.

Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting.

Experience with databases, writing queries, and stored procedures using SQL/MySQL.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents all assigned components.

Provide as needed support for IT tickets/bugs via KACE ticketing system.

Develop expert knowledge of existing applications.

Participate in departmental rotating on-call support phone.

Work with team to improve efficiencies, processes and procedures.

Technical Requirements

Design and development of Mirco Focus COBOL applications.

Programming Languages/Tools: COBOL, CICS, JCL, SQL, DB2
