CNC Press Brake Machine Operator

Job Description

Diversified Sourcing Solutions is looking for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator for one of our Elite clients in the Jersey Village area. The CNC Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components according to production specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and the ability to read technical drawings and measurements. Ideal for someone experienced in metal fabrication and comfortable working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal parts.

Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to determine bend sequences and tooling requirements.

Select, install, and adjust tooling, dies, and back gauges.

Perform firstpiece inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.

Measure finished parts using calipers, tape measures, protractors, and other precision tools.

Monitor machine performance and maintain consistent quality throughout production runs.

Identify material defects, incorrect setups, or machine issues and report them promptly.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Assist with general fabrication tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience operating a CNC press brake in a sheet metal or fabrication environment required.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, bend charts, and technical drawings.

Strong understanding of sheet metal properties and bending techniques.

Proficient with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to lift, move, and position sheet metal materials safely.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Amada, Accurpress, Cincinnati, or similar press brake equipment.

Familiarity with CNC programming or editing bend sequences.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S practices.

Compensation: $18-$20 DOE
