JOB TITLE: Data Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

LOCATION: 1111 Polaris Parkway, Columbus, OH 43240.

DUTIES: Manage data collection, storage, access, and analytics platform solutions with a focus on security, stability, and scalability. Implement strategies for database backup, recovery, and archiving to ensure data integrity and availability. Evaluate and report on access control processes to assess the effectiveness of data asset security measures. Build solutions using AWS cloud services, leveraging compute, storage, database, and security offerings to meet business requirements. Identify opportunities for automation to improve operational stability and efficiency. Contribute to the evolution of data models based on new use cases, leveraging SQL and understanding the role of NoSQL databases.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Associate Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Product Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Associate Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Product Analyst, or related occupation. This position requires experience with the following: Designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL workflows using AWS services including Glue, SQS, SNS, S3, and CloudWatch; Setting up performance monitoring and alerting using Datadog and Splunk; Building executive dashboards and visual reports using BI tools including QuickSight , Tableau, PowerBI, Business Objects, Qliksense, and QlikView; Coding, debugging, and maintaining data processing logic and backend APIs using programming languages including Python, Flask, and Pyspark; Architecting, modelling, querying, and maintaining Data Warehouses, SQL, and NoSQL databases, including Snowflake, MongoDB, Redshift, DynamoDB and Neptune; Optimizing enterprise data for scalability, resiliency, and downstream analytics across cloud-based environments using Databricks, Big Query, and containerized deployments with Kubernetes and Docker; Building interactive user interfaces and web based data access layers using JavaScript frameworks including Angular JS and React JS; Client side rendering and data visualization embedding with HTML and CSS; Implementing and managing Infrastructure as a Code using Terraform authored in Hashicorp Configuration Language to automate provisioning of cloud resources and ensure consistent, version controlled deployment environments; Automating processes with CI/CD tools including GitHub, Jules, and Spinnaker.
