Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities:

Ensure the safe and quality execution of all required tasks in their area.

Stock received material, as well as completed products and assemblies from in-house production.

Perform cycle counts when needed.

Maintain high standards of HSE.

Receive inbound material from outside suppliers, customer, and other Baker Hughes plants and field locations, using forklift and pallet stackers.

Receive and process orders using administrative software tools (ORACLE).

Pick materials, components, and end products and deliver them to Production or shipping.

Prepare orders and materials to ship to customers or vendors.

Perform ad-hoc warehouse duties as required to support the business.

Skills & Competencies:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Ability to apply concepts of basic math.

Must be able to work independently.

2 years' experience working in a warehouse, preferred.

Oracle experience is strongly preferred.

Have a good quality and HSE mindset approaching processes and procedures in a warehouse environment.

Have a Health and Safety driven mindset and practical, pragmatic approach to hands-on problem-solving.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced and noisy environment with constant movement.

Regular lifting and/or moving up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications:

Be fluent in English and eligible to work in the US, holding a US passport/work permit with no requirement for future sponsorship.

Have a forklift license (previously or currently) and pallet stacker experience.

Ability to operate a forklift while loading or unloading freight.

Shifts:

Monday - Friday from 6am to 3:30pm.

Must be able to work some weekends.
