Job Summary

We are on the lookout for an exceptional RF Systems Engineer with 8-12 years of robust experience in designing and developing advanced commercial communications systems, including 4G, 5G, and the exciting new 6G technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in RF system architecture, antenna design, and wireless communication protocols, and will be based in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

Utilize multidisciplinary systems engineering skills along with project management experience to design intricate engineering research studies.

Identify complex problems and develop and implement effective solutions.

Plan, create, and manage comprehensive systems solutions throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

Apply tailored systems engineering methods to meet specific project objectives efficiently.

Embrace systems thinking while adhering to systems engineering best practices.

Analyze requirements and system performance, utilizing expertise to assess cost/benefit and risk/opportunity factors.

Ensure holistic integration of all project or system aspects.

Design and develop RF systems specifically for commercial wireless communications.

Lead antenna design initiatives, including simulation, prototyping, and validation.

Conduct system-level analysis and modeling of RF communication systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of RF systems into larger platforms.

Support the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in wireless communication technologies and standards.

Perform complex assignments, including compiling and evaluating design and test data.

Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify innovative solutions.

Prepare and deliver advanced technical reports and presentations to clients.

Lead technical projects or significant components of sizable projects.

Recommend modifications to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Prepare technical sections of proposals and manage significant proposal sections.

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients while ensuring quality deliverables.

Contribute to IR&D studies and explore innovative methods and applications.

Lead IR&D tasks and support business development initiatives.

Engage in marketing and project development by leveraging technical expertise.

Participate in company-sponsored conferences and contribute to scientific gatherings.

Train and guide junior staff to enhance their technical skills and support project objectives.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.

8-10 years of experience in RF systems engineering with a focus on commercial communications.

Strong understanding of wireless communication protocols and standards (4G/5G/6G).

Proficiency in RF simulation tools and antenna design software.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in team settings.
