Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, supervisors, and management to promote understanding and consistent application of safe work practices.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, incident investigations, training sessions, and related documentation.
Ensure proper availability, maintenance, and correct use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site.
Monitor updates to safety regulations and industry standards and ensure ongoing site compliance.
Develop, implement, and test emergency response plans through regular drills to ensure readiness for potential emergencies.
Partner with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to proactively address safety issues and foster a strong safety culture.
Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable industry standards.
Perform routine and detailed construction site inspections to identify hazards and verify adherence to safety requirements.
Lead investigations of accidents and near-miss incidents, determine root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health and safety or Construction Management preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety related role within the construction industry.
Certifications: OSHA 30, BCSP (CHST, ASP, CSP).
Knowledge of construction safety regulations.
Ability to conduct inspections and investigations.
