Job Summary/Purpose:
The purpose of this part time, per diem position is to support microchurches and event planners by providing child care assistance. A Kid Keeper is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of children during microchurches, church meetings and events! The expectation of this position is that the individual will contribute to the team spirit of the staff and congregation through fellowship, encouragement, cooperation, prayer, and other appropriate ways as he/she serves his/her Lord Jesus Christ.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Microchurches and Special Events
Arrive on time and be prepared for scheduled shifts
Accept and confirm monthly scheduled shifts
Ensure safety of children in your care
Execute planned activities
Cultivate an environment of safety and fun
Maintain a clean and organized space for children
Communicate with co-workers and event planners about necessary changes in your schedule
Special Events
Be open and available to assist with childcare for the following events, but not limited to:
10 Day Fast (January)
Breakthrough Weekend (Spring/Summer/Fall)
Thrive (Once a month)
Microchurches
Weekly Prayer and Worship Nights (Wednesday)
Kids Camp Extended Day Care (June)
Annual Vision and Business Meeting
Greenhouse Conference (Late October)
Greenhouse Volunteer Christmas Parties
Administrative Tasks
Keep a running written record of children in your care along with a list of allergies and parents contact information
Complete all trainings in a timely manner
Fill out change of shift forms when necessary
Read all emails regarding Kid Keepers and Groupme messages
Adhere to all child safety policies written in Kid Keeper Manual

Able to lift up to 30 pounds and move furniture
Travel required: Minimal
Time requirement: Per Diem/As Needed
Required Schedule: Any changes in schedule to be pre-approved by Elementary Director

Demonstrated experience in Christian leadership by using credibility and capabilities to influence followers to pursue God's direction for their lives
Demonstrated experience in completing a range of administrative and/or necessary tasks
Comfortable with performing similar repetitive tasks every week while maintaining excellence
A good level of communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work as a part of a team oriented working environment, and to mobilize others as part of a team culture
Well-developed computer skills including demonstrated experience in the use of a range of Microsoft Office products (i.e.: Word, Excel, etc.) additional skills as needed.
Excellent time management skills
Maintains effective communication with all Greenhouse staff to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing Greenhouse goals
Maintains working hours as determined by the needs of the ministry/position
Comfortable cleaning body fluids and tending to injuries
Able to make quick decisions in unexpected situations
Willing (and able to learn) to troubleshoot computer-related problems independently
Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills
Attends staff meetings, retreats and other church functions as directed
Preferred education and experience
Experience with children of varying abilities
Experience with lesson planning
Proficient in administrative tasks
Good written and verbal communication skills
Is currently serving or has recently served in a volunteer ministry
Competent in Microsoft Office and Google drive, etc.
Available during summer and specific holidays
