Electrical Engineering degree
NERC FAC-008: Create the Verifact package—performing a full desktop review if needed—and issue it for field verification; promptly address any rejections that arise; and complete both preliminary and final QA/QC to ensure the work meets quality and acceptance criteria.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive configuration management program that tracks system changes and as-built Transmission assets, implements robust document control, versioning, and change-management practices, and prioritizes and allocates resources to meet urgent real-time operational needs while supporting long-term strategic goals; lead risk assessments and mitigation for configuration changes, engage stakeholders across the organization to align real-time engineering practices with business objectives, and investigate process failures to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals.
Minimum Requirements: Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in a program accredited by ABET*; Individuals with a Master's or Doctorate degree in engineering may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.*ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Acceptable alternatives are (1) a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or (2) a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
