About the Role

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Information Architect to support a large-scale global intranet transformation. This role focuses on designing intuitive, scalable information architecture that enhances usability, accessibility, and findability while aligning with governance, compliance, and enterprise goals. The ideal candidate brings strong IA fundamentals, stakeholder partnership skills, and experience supporting enterprise intranet platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and analyze business and colleague requirements with key stakeholders

Design intranet navigation, site maps, taxonomies, and content structures

Create wireframes and navigation models to guide design and development

Improve content findability, usability, and consistency

Develop naming conventions and metadata schemas

Partner with UX, content, and development teams on implementation

Conduct usability testing and refine IA based on feedback

Maintain IA documentation and standards

Ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and accessibility standards

Support cross-platform and multi-device usability

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, HCI, Library Science, or related field

8–10+ years of Information Architecture experience

Intranet or enterprise content management experience required

Strong knowledge of IA principles and user-centered design

Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 preferred

Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills

This role is a 6-month contract, with potential consideration for full-time employment thereafter.
