McConway & Torley is seeking a Temporary Inventory Clerk for our storeroom. This role is project based, and expected to last at least approximately 3 months.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Shift: 6am-2pm
What you’ll be doing:
Storing, labeling, and tracking inventory using computerized systems and handheld scanners
Performing inventory counts, inspections, and basic quality checks as required
Operating forklifts, company vehicles, and material-handling equipment safely
Maintaining organization and proper storage of materials throughout the storeroom and warehouse
Supporting loading, storage, and movement of materials according to established procedures
Complying with all safety policies, including use of required personal protective equipment
Working collaboratively with team members to meet operational goals
What you’ll need:
Ability to safely operate a forklift; certification preferred or ability to obtain
One year of related warehouse, storeroom, or inventory experience preferred
Working knowledge of inventory systems, scanners, or computerized tracking tools
Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including lifting, standing, and working in industrial conditions
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team
Working Conditions:
Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
Safety Activities:
Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
