Pharmacy Floor Technician – Weekend Specialist

Pay Rate: $20–$26/hour

Schedule:

Weekends: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM

Weekdays: Two (2) additional days Monday–Friday (days are flexible)

Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required based on operational needs.

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Floor Technician – Weekend Specialist supports pharmacy operations by preparing prescription medications for final verification by a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on accurate medication fulfillment, labeling, scanning, and packaging while ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately fill daily medication orders in a timely manner under pharmacist supervision

Pick and pull medications from shelving and prepack storage areas

Label blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy

Notify the pharmacist of any medication or product that does not scan correctly

Assist with processing returned medications, including recycling or disposal per established procedures

Prepack frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods, including labeling and proper storage

Manually package medications and related materials as required

Maintain cleanliness and organization of designated workstation areas

Replenish inventory and supplies to support uninterrupted workflow

Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA

Adhere to departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code

Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to work at a moderate pace in a production-focused environment

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Active and unrestricted Ohio Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (must be maintained)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous pharmacy technician experience

Physical Demands

Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the shift

Ability to sit or stand for 7–10 hours per day, with flexibility for extended hours as needed

Manual dexterity to operate pharmacy and office equipment

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Visual acuity to read fine print, including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment

Ability to hear and respond to normal conversational voice levels
