Job Description
Full Stack Software Architect
Full Time
Columbus, OH
AndHealth is a healthcare technology company created to help people reverse chronic disease. We are driven by the goal of making world-class specialty care accessible and affordable to all. We partner with health systems, community health centers, plans, and employers to remove barriers to care to ensure all people have access to the care they deserve.
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Architect to join our team to guide the technical evolution of our patient experience through AndHealth mobile, web, and desktop applications. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our technical architecture, ensuring the scalability, privacy, and security of our patients’ data. You’ll work across the entire software development lifecycle, acting as a technical and product-minded leader and strategic partner to our care team to deliver a world-class patient experience.
Both the company and the product & engineering team are on a path of significant growth. We are looking for an experienced engineer who is excited about establishing technical standards and driving the long-term roadmap. While our current stack is built on Flutter and GCP, we value engineering fundamentals and architectural expertise over specific language experience; we are looking for a leader who can master and evolve our stack regardless of their prior background.
What you’ll do in the role:
As a senior member of our product & engineering team, you’ll partner with our care team to architect and build a world-class mobile experience that helps patients manage chronic illness.
Empower our care team with innovative tools that automate the tedious, allowing them to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional patient care.
Leverage agent-assisted coding to accelerate development and focus on high-level architectural design.
Improve both internal and external user experiences by architecting robust integrations with modern services and third-party APIs.
Design, build, and deploy scalable backend systems on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring our infrastructure supports significant user growth and complex new functionality.
Collaborate closely with data analysts and engineers to define data models and improve analytics insights, optimizing automated decision-making processes.
Set the standard for technical excellence by practicing continuous integration and deployment to minimize feedback cycles.
Continuously evolve our toolset and architectural patterns to improve developer velocity and system reliability.
Education & Licensure Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Other Skills or Qualifications:
“Patient first” attitude: Design tools and experiences that prioritize the patient's needs and create a "wow" factor.
Architectural & Metric-Driven Approach: Ability to design complex systems from the ground up and define success metrics before building to allow for rapid iteration.
Integration & Systems Expertise: Deep experience developing and maintaining integrations with complex systems and databases to ensure a cohesive ecosystem for our patients.
Technical Leadership: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Care, and Enrollment teams to achieve shared goals without the need for formal people management responsibilities.
Passionate about Building: We seek individuals who want to make a big impact, possess a growth mindset, and have a track record of taking high-level ownership of complex technical problems.
Here’s what we’d like to offer you:
Equal investment and support for our people and patients.
A fun and ambitious start-up environment with a culture that takes on big things, takes risks, and learns quickly.
The ability to demonstrate creativity, innovation, and conscientiousness, and find joy in working together.
A team of highly skilled, incredibly kind, and welcoming employees, every one of whom has something unique to offer.
We know that the overall success of our business is a collaborative effort, and we strive to provide ongoing opportunities for our employees to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.
Full-time employees are eligible to participate in our benefits package which includes Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Company, and Paid time off, Short- and Long-Term Disability, and more.
We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
