Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembly Technician to join our team and play a critical role in the production of high-quality components and systems. In this role, you will utilize your technical expertise to assemble mechanical and electronic components, operate specialized equipment, and ensure adherence to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, enabling effective collaboration with team members and supervisors. Your goal is to deliver reliable, high-quality assemblies while contributing to the company’s operational efficiency and safety standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
Perform precise hand soldering of small components on circuit boards using a microscope.
Assemble mechanical components, operate surface-mount technology (SMT) equipment, or conduct testing per established protocols.
Execute setup and cleanup tasks following documented guidelines.
Keep accurate records for setup and daily operational activities.
Record and manage quality control data for operations and inspections.
Manage materials to ensure accurate inventory control within the work area.
Report operational updates to supervisors and collaborate with team members as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance safety, quality, and performance standards.
Provide other support as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Able to hand solder small components on a printed circuit board. A soldering skills test will be required.
Attention to detail, highly organized and able to multi-task
Good English skills both verbal and written.
SMT machine operation, electrical troubleshooting or mechanical assembly experience preferred.
Good math skills, including metric and standard measuring systems
Familiarity with ESD, cleanroom, and 6S procedures
Self-driven and proactive
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a manufacturing technician or a related role
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working under a microscope.
Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
