JOB TITLE: Applications Support [Multiple Positions Available]
LOCATION: 1111 Polaris Parkway, Columbus, OH 43240.
DUTIES: Define and maintain monitoring of the applications critical for bank's day to day operations. Maintain 1200 APIs in production for Firmwide Core Deposits product. Automate the manual intensive toil involved around Daily Customer Refunds. Improve the telemetry, alerting and tracing for mission critical functions. Provide assistance with triaging process for all the major limited and major significant incidents within. Responsible for Incident Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Availability Management related primary book of work. Monitor the applications using Splunk and Dynatrace. Create dashboards in Splunk and track issues in UNIX logs. Monitor of queues and transactions using Main View, QVIEW and Grafana. Monitor and track issues in Datadog and AWS CloudWatch. Perform health checks in Mainframe Deposits applications and Shared Services. Pull information from Production to mitigate issues creating JCLs, sorts and queries. Perform Year End activities for all applications having weekly meetings with AD teams. Perform Massive Maintenance duties and file transmissions with Connect Direct.
REQUIREMENTS: Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Applications Support, IT Management Consultant, Project Manager, Programmer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in any field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Applications Support, IT Management Consultant, Project Manager, Programmer, or related occupation. This position requires experience with the following: designing, developing, and maintaining batch and online applications utilizing VSAM files for efficient record organization; performing complex data manipulation, structuring, and query optimization using SQL, leveraging tools like SPUFI and QMF within the DB2 database environment for enhanced data management; managing and automating business and IT processes across diverse applications, data sets, and infrastructure using JCL scripts integrated with scheduling tools such as ZEKE and CONTROL-M on the mainframe; storing, retrieving, and managing production reports, JCL listings, and other job outputs using CA-VIEW, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and accessibility for business needs; facilitating seamless integration of mainframe applications with other platforms via MQ, ensuring reliable and secure communication across distributed environments; monitoring and assessing system performance, including queue statuses, workloads, and transaction processing, using BMC MAINVIEW; configuring and managing file transfers between different platforms and operating systems using the software Connect:Direct; managing database changes, diagnose performance issues, and execute daily administrative tasks; overseeing file management, program execution, and database access in UNIX environments, facilitating real-time resource sharing and system efficiency; maintaining the Cockroach DB nodes and perform the necessary triaging to address any health issues and take care of failover and failback activities during MEPC (SR / DR) events; maintaining the 100+ Production APIs / Microservices in Firmwide Core Deposits product platform, address any API Gateway related health aspects based on response times.
