Metal products manufacturer is seeking a Plant Engineer to track and manage all facilities and equipment activities to ensure employee safety, efficiency and OSHA compliance.
Essential Job Functions
• Manages projects for new machine installations, building improvements and repairs, and machine repairs and upgrades.
• Manages the Maintenance Department to reduce machine downtime and the preventative maintenance program.
• Works with the safety team to complete projects to improve all plant safety, manages some safety projects and documentation.
Manufacturing Areas: Safety, Light/Medium duty assembly, Welding, Stamping, Robotics, Pneumatics, Electronics, Laser Cutting, etc.
Facility Areas: HVAC Systems, Compressors, Grease Systems, Lighting, Racking, Sewer, Roofing, Environmental, etc. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
Knowledge
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Associates degree preferred
Experience
• Minimum 1 year working in Microsoft Office products
• Exposure to Acrobat Reader software is preferred
• Experience using Kronos and/or Epicor software preferred
Physical Requirements
• Work may be sedentary or required to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.
