Responsibilities: * Ensure safety rules are followed - facilitated through monthly safety talks, daily tool box talks, safety inspections and random supervisor audits * Ensures proper personal protective equipment is worn * Ensure regulatory requirements are met with regards to chemical disposal, proper PPE when handling chemicals * Daily product testing and verification of product inventory to meet customer requirements * Fulfill customer requests - additional analysis, samples to be sent out * Process Testing (ie., stone samples) * Coordination of lab testing equipment maintenance and calibration.
Calibration and cleaning of laboratory equipment Basic Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree is preferred * 1+ years of laboratory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; Chemical background is a plus * Computer proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and ability to learn SAP * Prior experience in, or knowledge of, ISO is preferred * Strong math and organizational skills along with ability to meet deadlines; ability to read and interpret technical procedures * Willing and able to work shifts and weekends * Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills, knowledge of continuous manufacturing sector * Statistical knowledge in chemistry & physics understanding * Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently while also operating in a team environment with friendly, proactive and assertive nature * High level of integrity motivation * Must be punctual and able to meet deadlines * Fluency in oral and written English * Valid driver's license Benefits & Compensation: * Annual Base Salary range of $40,000 - $45,000 * Paid holidays and vacation time * Group medical/pharmacy insurance options with company funded health care spending accounts * Dental insurance & Vision insurance * A 401k account with company matching contribution * Company-paid life insurance and short-term and long-term disability insurance * Options to purchase additional life insurance (employee, spouse, and child) and additional employee long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Tuition benefits including professional certifications
