Job Description:

We Are Seeking a Web Developer to join an Agile DevOps team responsible for building and maintaining mission-critical software systems. This role is a key contributor on large, complex application development initiatives and requires advanced expertise in Java-based web platforms, modern Agile methodologies, and full lifecycle software development. The ideal candidate can manage multiple development assignments, collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders, and deliver secure, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Participate as a core member of Agile DevOps development teams supporting complex, mission-critical applications

• Collaborate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies

• Analyze functional and technical specifications and provide accurate development estimates

• Design, code, test, debug, and maintain Java-based web applications and services

• Develop application screens, backend logic, APIs, microservices, and system integrations

• Ensure delivered solutions meet functional, performance, accessibility, data integrity, and security standards

• Prepare test scenarios, test data, and perform pre-delivery testing

• Support system builds, merges, deployments, and configuration management activities

• Maintain version control and participate in code reviews and development documentation

• Work closely with analysts, architects, DBAs, testers, project managers, and external technical partners

• Assist other developers to meet team goals and delivery timelines

• Troubleshoot issues, resolve technical debt, and support ongoing application maintenance

• Contribute to technical standards, development methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and development practices

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Web Developer on medium to large-scale, mission-critical systems or projects

• Advanced experience developing Java-based web applications using:

• Java 11 & 21

• Spring / Spring Boot (2.x & 3.x)

• Spring JDBC, JPA

• RESTful APIs and distributed architecture patterns

• Strong front-end development experience with HTML, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, and Progressive Web Applications (PWAs)

• Experience designing and integrating relational databases (Postgres, Informix, and other SQL-based systems)

• Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and DevOps development environments

• Strong understanding of application security principles and secure coding practices

• Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable solutions

• Experience writing, executing, and validating test cases to ensure quality, performance, accessibility, and data integrity

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams

Preferred Skills:

• Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy applications using:

• Java 8, Struts (1 & 2), Hibernate

• jQuery, jQuery DataTables

• Ant, Subversion

• Experience converting design artifacts (e.g., Figma Material Design) into Angular implementations

• Experience developing or supporting microservices and inter-system integrations

• Familiarity with rapid application development methodologies, including Vibe Coding

• Experience with mobile application development or responsive design

• Experience with Business Intelligence tools and data-driven applications

• Prior experience supporting systems in regulated or compliance-driven environments

• Certifications or formal training in Computer Science or related technical disciplines
