Position Overview
As a Senior Software Developer at PSI, a subsidiary of ETS, you will create innovative technology solutions that facilitate human progress. In this role, you will design and deliver high-quality software that meets our customers' needs. You will work autonomously, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior developers while driving innovation and reliability in each project.
In light of our clientele, including the US Government, a successful candidate must be a US Citizen and pass a level-1 (Confidential) security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Build: Develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications leveraging Java/Spring and SQL.
Solve Problems: Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Lead Projects: Own key initiatives and deliver results independently.
Enhance Systems: Improve existing functionality and introduce new features to adapt to evolving business requirements.
Collaborate: Engage with product managers, engineers, and subject-matter experts in an Agile environment.
Innovate: Explore emerging technologies and implement best practices to enhance performance and user experience.
Document and Share: Maintain comprehensive product documentation and contribute to streamlined processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in software development.
Proficient in Java, Spring Framework, SQL, and modern web technologies (JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS).
Experience with APIs, Node.js, and version control systems (Git).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cloud services (Azure, AWS) is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Must be a US Citizen and eligible for a level-1 security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with JSP development.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
Proficient with tools like JIRA and enterprise-level debugging techniques.
