Job Summary
The AutoCAD Operator is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and plans based on design specifications provided by engineers, architects, and project managers. The role ensures all drawings are complete, updated, and aligned with project requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation of Technical Drawings
Create 2D drawings, layouts, and detailed plans using AutoCAD
Produce architectural, structural, and/or MEP drawings as required
Convert sketches, calculations, and design concepts into technical drawings
Ensure drawings follow project specifications and drafting standards
2. Drawing Revisions & Updates
Revise drawings based on engineer/architect instructions
Update plans to reflect site changes and design modifications
Maintain version control of all drawing files
3. Coordination with Project Team
Work closely with Site Engineers, Architects, and Project Managers
Clarify design details and technical requirements
Assist in resolving drawing discrepancies
4. Documentation & File Management
Organize and maintain digital drawing files and project documents
Ensure proper labeling and storage of plans
Prepare drawing printouts for site use when needed
5. Support to Estimation & Planning
Assist in quantity take-offs based on drawings
Provide drawing references needed for cost estimation and material planning
