Officer: Occupational Hygiene

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Assess and execute occupational hygiene activities through the implementation of the Occupational Health (OH) programmes and management plan to ensure compliance to legal requirements and other relevant standards.

Key Performance Areas:

Execute Occupational Health Risk Assessment.

Ensure that the Hierarchy of control is followed and adhered to.

Conduct inspections and identify non-compliance with Company Occupational Health standards and recommend corrective action.

Record and update Occupational Health monitoring results on relevant database and spreadsheets.

Ensure that all procedures are current and filed accordingly.

Compile and maintain an instrument register to ensure calibration and service schedules are adhered to and redundant instruments are removed.

Ensure all hygiene monitoring equipment and instruments are in a good operating condition by checking and calibrating before and after use.
