PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING: This is a 1099 contractor position for Spectrum Charter Cable Technicians. Before starting, applicants will be evaluated in the field with another technician. Please do not apply unless you meet the outlined requirements below.

Job Overview: We are seeking both experienced and entry-level Fiber Optic/ Cable Technicians. This role focuses on fiber installation and splicing while also including some coaxial work. We value self-motivated, detail-oriented techs who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

Proven experience in Fiber Optic/ Cable (e.g., splicing, installation, troubleshooting).

Willingness to perform both fiber and coax work as needed.

Ability to pass a field test with another technician prior to onboarding.

Successful completion of a panel drug screening.

Valid U.S. work authorization.

Must own a vehicle (truck, van, or SUV) capable of safely carrying a 28ft ladder, 6ft ladder, and all necessary cable equipment.

28 ft. fiberglass ladder & 6 ft. step ladder required.

Full tool set for fiber work (including splicing tools, OTDR, etc.).

Valid driver's license.

Willingness to work outdoors and in various environments (attics, rooftops, etc.).

Compensation and Benefits:

1099 contract role, paid per job on a piece-rate basis.

Ongoing work available based on performance and availability.
