Civmec is proud to be supporting Fortescues Green Iron Project near Christmas Creek in the Pilbara. This is a groundbreaking initiatve reshaping how steel is produced through hydrogen powered technology.

We're looking for experienced SMP Supervisors ready to step into a high-impact role on this industry defining project.
The Role
The responsibilities include:
Oversee and manage Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) works across major construction projects
Supervise and lead site crews to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality execution
Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, project specifications, and schedules
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Conduct site inspections and ensure all work meets engineering and client requirements
Communicate effectively with project engineers, managers and superintendents
Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly to minimize delays and maintain productivity
Assist in planning and sequencing of SMP works to optimise resource allocation
Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and daily activities for reporting purposes
Uphold Civmec’s values and standards in all aspects of site supervision
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
Proven experience in SMP supervision within major construction or heavy industry
Trade qualification in Pipefitting/Boilermaking highly regarded
Oversee piping installation and commissioning across large-scale construction projects, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and safety standards
Supervised fabrication, assembly, and installation of pressure vessels, tanks, and structural steel components across large-scale construction projects
S26 Certification
Strong leadership and communication skills
A commitment to safety, quality, and performance
Ability to manage teams and drive results in dynamic environments
Experience working on FMG sites is highly regarded
