IT Scrum Master

VAM Systems is currently looking for IT Scrum Master for our UAE operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) required

Advanced certifications such as Advanced CSM (A-CSM), PSM II, or PSM III highly preferred

Experience:

3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar agile role

Experience working with project teams in an IT environment

Proven track record of successfully facilitating Scrum for multiple teams

Knowledge and skills:

Strong understanding of Scrum framework, agile principles, and values.

Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technical practices.

Experience with agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar platforms

Knowledge of agile metrics and reporting techniques.

Understanding of DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) is beneficial

Awareness of other agile frameworks such as Kanban, XP, SAFe, or LeSSTerms and conditions.

Responsibilities

1. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

2. Ensure ceremonies are productive, time-boxed, and focused on achieving their intended outcomes

3. Coach the team on self-organization and cross-functionality to maximize value delivery

4. Guide the team in creating well-defined sprint goals and realistic sprint commitments

5. Ensure transparency of team progress and work through proper use of Scrum artifacts

6. Identify, track, and proactively remove impediments that block team progress

7. Facilitate conflict resolution and help the team navigate challenges

8. Address team dysfunction and guide teams toward effective collaboration

9. Partner with the IT Business Partner/Product Owner to maintain a healthy, prioritized product backlog

10. Ensure user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for sprint planning

11. Help the Product Owner communicate vision, goals, and priorities to the team

12. Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to prepare upcoming work

13. Support the Product Owner in stakeholder management and expectations setting

14. Track and communicate team metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and cycle time

15. Identify trends and insights from metrics to drive team improvement

16. Lead retrospectives that generate actionable improvement items

17. Facilitate communication between the development team, Product Owner, and stakeholders

18. Provide visibility into team progress, risks, and impediments to stakeholders

19. Manage expectations regarding delivery timelines and team capacity

20. Protect the team from scope creep and unplanned work during sprints

21. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to share knowledge and improve practices

Joining time frame: (15 - 30 days)
