I opened my agency this year after a long journey with State Farm that began over a decade ago as an intern and continued through seven years as a team member. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the business and a clear vision for building an agency rooted in service, consistency, and strong relationships. I attended the University of Missouri, am married, and were excited to welcome a baby in March 2026. Im also a member of Alpha Phi Omega, which reflects my long-standing commitment to leadership and service.

Community involvement is important to me, and I stay actively engaged through my local church, where I serve in marriage ministry leadership, as well as with the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce. ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Darius Thurston - State Farm Agent is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members.

Manage appointment scheduling and office communications.

Assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records.

Engage in conversations with prospective and existing customers, identifying opportunities to offer insurance options.

Provide excellent customer service and follow up on customers needs.

Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.

Communication and interpersonal skills.

Organizational and multitasking abilities.

Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
