Sales Associate – Firearms Retail

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers, answer questions, and provide knowledgeable product recommendations to drive sales while ensuring compliance with all firearm laws and store policies.

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner

Present, explain, and sell firearms, accessories, and related services

Recommend products based on customer needs, experience level, and intended use

Resolve customer questions, concerns, and complaints promptly

Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, process cash and credit transactions, and balance registers

Accurately complete firearm paperwork and background check procedures in accordance with federal and state regulations

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales floor

Assist with basic inventory tracking and data entry as needed

Qualifications:

Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer service preferred

Ability to learn and operate POS systems and inventory software

Comfortable with basic data entry and attention to detail

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers

Deadline-driven and detail-oriented

Ability to follow procedures and comply with all firearm laws and regulations
