Working Hours: 38 hours per week

SALARY Range: $77,000 - $82,000 + SUPERANNUATION

Keen to cement their reputation they now seek a skilled and qualified full time Chef to help lead the kitchen team to achieving even greater success.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and inspire the kitchen team to deliver the best results

• Prepare and cook meals, and supervise the preparation of meals by kitchen staff

• Manage kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control and budgeting

• Develop, test, and introduce new menu items

• Compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards

• Work alongside the management team

About you

• You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques and food trends.

• You can demonstrate an unwavering commitment to flavors and presentation of the highest quality, whilst aligning and motivating a cohesive and hardworking team environment

To succeed in this role, you

• Possess excellent relevant post-secondary hospitality (cooking) qualifications, to at least Diploma level

• Have at least 1-2 years professional experience since earning your qualifications

• Are available across the working week including weekends and nights

• Offer proven ability to prioritize, set goals and have the determination to achieve them

• Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP

• Understand cost control, time management, prioritization and cost-efficient procurement practices

• Have substantial experience working in a similar role / environment

• You are an excellent people manager, with great comms skills, able to get the most out of your team
