Air Import Supervisor – JFK Airport Area

Join a high-performing international logistics team where you’ll play a critical role in driving operational excellence, supporting key clients, and leading a talented import staff. This role is perfect for a logistics professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is ready to take ownership of department performance.

What You’ll Do:

Oversee daily air import operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

Lead and support a team of 2–10 import staff, providing coaching, development, and performance oversight

Implement departmental policies, SOPs, and process improvements to drive efficiency

Prepare quotations, review documentation, and maintain clear communication with customers and vendors

Ensure smooth customs clearance, timely delivery, and exceptional customer service

What We’re Looking For:

2–5 years of import operations experience (air import strongly preferred)

Strong understanding of freight documentation, Incoterms, and shipment flow

Experience supervising or mentoring staff

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Ability to work with limited standardization and navigate real-time challenges
