Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in FortiSASE and firewall security. This role focuses on managing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting cloud-delivered and on-prem network security solutions across multiple customer environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-driven, and comfortable working independently while supporting enterprise security operations.

Key Responsibilities

Firewall & Network Security Operations

Manage and support network security platforms including Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiSASE) and Akamai WAF

Troubleshoot firewall traffic flows, security policies, and network connectivity issues

Perform daily maintenance and operational support of customer network security infrastructure

Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and support activities

Work independently to diagnose issues and escalate when required

Deployment & Configuration

Implement and configure FortiSASE components including ZTNA, Secure Web Gateway (SWG), CASB, and FWaaS

Integrate FortiSASE with existing network and security environments

Ensure configurations align with organizational security standards and compliance requirements

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Monitor security events and performance using centralized management tools

Diagnose and resolve connectivity, latency, and access issues for remote users

Ensure high availability and secure access across devices and locations

Update policies and configurations to meet evolving security needs

Collaboration & Documentation

Collaborate with network and security teams to support hybrid and remote workforce models

Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with FortiSASE and Fortinet security solutions

Experience managing firewalls, proxy, and network security services

Solid understanding of ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS, and DLP concepts

Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, routing protocols

Experience with SD-WAN and secure remote access solutions

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS security

Knowledge of threat detection, secure access principles, and compliance frameworks

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience implementing SASE or cloud-delivered security solutions

Fortinet certifications (NSE 4 or higher)

Cloud security certifications (e.g., CCSP, AWS Security Specialty)
