Tesla is now hiring Apprentice Vehicle Technicians for our 2026 intake.

This is your opportunity to enter the fast-growing world of electric vehicle (EV) servicing, learn from expert Tesla technicians, and undergo comprehensive training while completing a Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology.

As an Apprentice Automotive Technician, you'll work in a high tech, fast paced environment, gaining hands on experience with Tesla's cutting edge electric vehicles, tools, diagnostics software and service systems.

If you're passionate about vehicles, mechanics and sustainable transport, this program is for you.

What You'll Do * Support the Tesla Service Team to deliver an outstanding customer experience * Perform basic vehicle servicing, inspections and maintenance under supervision * Learn to use diagnostics tools and automotive software systems * Undertake a nationally recognised Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology * Complete Tesla specific training through our global learning platform * Maintain the workshop, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and assist in daily operations * Build knowledge of all Tesla models, service procedures and safety standards What You'll Bring * Completed Year 12 education * Full Australian work rights * Eligible to enrol with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) * A valid driver's licence * Passion for automotive technology, mechanics, and electric vehicles * Strong communication, time management and attention to detail * Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently and adapt to changing priorities * A proactive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn * Interest in EV systems, battery technology and sustainable innovation * A genuine desire to build a career in the automotive trades or mechanical engineering What You'll Gain * Hands on technical skills with Tesla electric vehicles * Mentorship from experienced Tesla technicians and industry leaders * Formal qualification: Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology * Career pathways to become a Qualified Tesla Vehicle Technician * Work in state of the art Tesla service centres * Be part of a global mission to drive the future of sustainable abundance Recruitment Timeline * Phone Screening Starts: 29th September 2025 * Interviews (Stage 1 & 2): October - November 2025 * Apprenticeship Program Start Date: January 2026 Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
