Columbus School for Girls will be hiring a full-time Primary Lower School Homeroom Teacher to begin in the 2026-2027 academic school year. Major Functions and Responsibilities:

The homeroom teacher is responsible for actively engaging children in social studies, language arts, and math instruction.

Potential leadership responsibilities such as Advisory, Club or Affinity/Alliance Groups, and roles such as Form Level Dean, Department Chair, or Center Director.

Experience, Characteristics, and Qualities:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Exceptionally strong candidates will possess a liberal arts and science degree.

Familiarity with and willingness to learn Singapore Math and/or Math in Focus curricula is preferred.

Strong classroom management skills, proficiency with classroom technology, and the demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction are key components of the position.

Ability to integrate appropriate educational technologies to support instruction, engagement, and student learning.

We seek a teacher who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and evolving program by thoughtfully integrating contemporary teaching practices and skills.

The successful candidate must be collaborative and a good communicator who values working outside of the classroom with elementary students.
