Part- Time Transit Operator

Duties and Responsibilities: * Operate non-CDL passenger vehicles * Memorize routes, transfer points, and fare structures of all fixed-route bus lines and Paratransit * Perform a complete pre-trip/post-trip inspection of bus * Understand and follow all safety rules * Provide schedule, route, and fare information to passengers seeking assistance * Operate wheelchair lift and assist individuals with disabilities in boarding, riding, and alighting in a safe manner * Other duties as assigned Requirements: * High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent * Valid Driver's license * General knowledge of City traffic rules and regulations * Must be able to work either early mornings OR evenings and some Saturdays * Willing to participate in random drug and alcohol screens in accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Drug and Alcohol regulations The City of Winchester is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other classification protected by law.
