Job Duties: The 3rd shift Yogurt Production Operator will be involved in all operational aspects of yogurt production. The Yogurt Production Operator will be responsible for a variety of packaging functions as well as sanitation functions, manual cleaning of equipment, floors, and work areas, and bringing packaging supplies to/from storage.

Pack yogurt into containers, cartons, or bags in a timely manner by tending or operating packaging equipment.

Prepare supplies and labels, and verify and record product, packaging, or order information on specified forms and records.

Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.

Sort, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.

Verify accuracy and correctness of product identification labels and attach to finished packaged items.

Palletize packaged products. Move pallets and barrels of product in and out of production areas.

Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.

Utilize detergents, sanitizers, brushes and high-pressure hose to clean production equipment and rooms in assigned area.

Measure, weigh, or mix cleaning solutions, using measuring tanks, calibrated rods or suction tubes.

Observe machine operations, gauges, or thermometers, and adjust controls to maintain specified conditions.

Set controls to regulate temperature and length of cycles, and start conveyors, pumps, agitators, and machines.

Drain, clean, and refill machines or tanks at designated intervals, using cleaning solutions or water.

Other related additional duties as assigned Shift: 3rd shift, 10:00pm - done (typically 8-9 hour shifts), Monday-Friday plus every other Saturday.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour, plus a 3rd shift premium $3.00.

Requirements:

Cheese/food industry experience is preferred but not required.

Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

A good attendance record is required.

Candidate must be a team player.

Employees are required to stand the duration of the shift, with frequent and repetitive bending, stooping, turning, reaching, grasping and lifting up to 50 pounds.
