Job Description

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

This role is responsible to produce (paint / assemble) NCR parts that are outside the normal scope of normal assemblies, requiring special training, inspection skills and minimum supervision. This person will be required to work with engineering and team leads to determine the best method to produce new parts in this facility.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Work with Engineering to help transfer parts from Prototype to Production.

Improve / develop fixturing

Help develop Assembly / Paint Instructions / Assembly Drawings

Improve yield

Help Engineering determine best routing steps to be used.

Coat various alumina insulators with paint per specifications

Assemble alumina components (insulator, metal hardware, braze alloy) and load assemblies into firing fixtures per assembly drawing and other instructions

Perform pre-assembly / metalizing preparation operations on materials, including cleaning parts, mechanical attachment of parts, sizing of parts and other operations as necessary

Must know and convey critical dimensions, physical, & cosmetic characteristics.

Leak test

Chem Clean

Inspection of components and final parts

Train Metalizing and Assembly operators to build new parts.

Education, prior work experience, specialized skills and knowledge required:

High school diploma or equivalent required - Experience is required

Ability to read blueprints

Basic math and reading comprehension skills required

MRP experience and/or training required

Working understanding of vacuum brazing

Problem-solving skills

Physical requirements:

Lifting, walking, stooping, reaching, standing, sitting

Correctable 20/20 vision
