Position Summary
This position performs deburring and polishing operations on aircraft related components and parts to meet production requirements. In this position you are required to be on the FAA Drug and Alcohol Program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Practical experience with hand deburring methods and working knowledge or familiarity with mechanical deburring processes.
Responsible for finishing detailed machine components.
Familiarity with cutting processes, power brushing, bonded abrasive finishing, mass finishing and abrasive blasting.
Ability to operate common portable hand tools.
Relevant experience in cutting, polishing and/or assembly processes.
Performs other related work and comparable duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
High school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of related experience
Must be able to read blueprints
Knowledge of different metallic materials including aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel
Basic PC skills in a Windows environment
Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 pounds
Walk, stand, or otherwise move about continuously
Typically sits, grasps item, and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
Comfortable working with parts under magnification device
Working knowledge of certified quality standards (AS9100 Rev D)
