Job Summary
The Program Manager, High Density Cooling Enablement is responsible for designing, building and managing delivery of learning and development solutions that build the organization’s technical and sales capabilities around High-Density Cooling & Chilled Water. This role will design the end-to-end curriculum for Service Engineers, Applications Engineers, Product and Offering Teams, Solution Designers and Sales Representatives. They will engage with internal and external High-Density Cooling & Chilled Water subject matter experts to define learning requirements. Managing a consistent strategy that balances budget, learners time and measuring value to the business is essential for success.
The Training Program Manager will create the L&D High Density Cooling Center of Excellence. This is a critical job role contributing to building the High Density Cooling & Chilled Water technical expertise in Vertiv Globally, and supporting business growth initiatives. Building a cohesive High Density Cooling development program will require aligning to Vertiv business goals, analyzing data as needed; partnering with Sales and Service Managers, Product Offering and Marketing teams to leverage previously developed core, consistent, and common content; designing relevant and impactful content that maps to certification paths and designing a comprehensive strategy to drive adoption and measure business results.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and deliver high-profile, high-impact High Density Cooling & Chilled Water training programs delivered in multiple modes – instructor-led and virtual workshops, train-the-trainer, on-the-job, self-paced online courses and videos, and technical solution lab exercises.
Understand and define target learner personas to include Vertiv and Partner Service Engineers, Sales reps, Applications Engineers, Solution Designers. Design instruction that resonates with the audience.
Contribute to the development of global course and collateral templates and standards, design courses for global scale and multiple language translations. Own the trainer and partner certification programs.
Define and manage program objectives at the regional level and consider how they might be tailored for global needs
Collaborate with subject matter experts to get applicable input on how to position Vertiv against competitors
Design and implement training lab environments for remote access and hands on learning that is accessible, flexible and applicable
Standardize on learning/mentoring plans for recruiting and onboarding Vertiv associates and partners
Design and deliver Train-the-Trainer certification programs to enable global scale.
Develop internal relationships with Offering and Marketing teams to work with beta version of products and software
Work with High Density Cooling & Chilled Water training peers in other regions to leverage content and develop for scale
Measure program impact against pre-defined success metrics
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related field; Instructional design and instructor certifications required
7+ years progressive professional experience developing and delivering high impact training programs focusing on cooling and/or data center technologies
7+ years' proven project management skills including planning work, prioritizing and managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and delivering results with tight deadlines
7+ years experience designing/delivering instruction for field service and sales teams
Exceptional research and analytical skills
Experienced facilitator and coach with expert skills in virtual and online delivery methods, including media and video
Experience scoping and building out virtual and physical training labs and environments to support hands-on learning
Experience defining business level KPIs as part of the curriculum design process
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication abilities including collaborating with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers to transfer knowledge
Excellent oral and written communication skills, paired with sound business judgment
Familiarity with ADDIE development process
Past successful partnership with tech teams
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented, global work environment
Strong technical knowledge of data center cooling products and applications
Experience with liquid cooling technologies, Immersion and direct to chip
Passion and interest in developing people
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in both office and industrial manufacturing environments.
Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures (approximately 60 F–95 F), stand or walk for extended periods, and wear required PPE.
