Job Summary:
Seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support aircraft engine component manufacturing and FAA-certified repair station operations. This role involves inspecting precision turbine engine components using conventional tools and CMMs with Zeiss Calypso software, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and FAA 14 CFR Part 145 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of turbine, compressor, rotating, and static hardware
• Operate and program CMMs using Zeiss Calypso
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
• Verify part conformity to engineering, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records
• Identify nonconforming material and support corrective actions
• Support in-process, final, and return-to-service inspections
• Assist with internal and FAA audits
• Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and CMM equipment
• Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
• 1–5 years in aerospace or precision manufacturing quality inspection (entry-level considered with relevant training)
• Experience with CMM inspections using Zeiss Calypso
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools and basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and independent work capability
• U.S. work authorization and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
