Job Summary

We have an opening for a Mandarin Sales Engineer in our Sales Engineering Department. This group of engineers is responsible for the sale of our products, as well as technical support to customers. The Mandarin Sales Engineer is responsible for managing customer relationships and needs, as well as maintaining and developing their assigned international sales territory by responding to part quote requests, interacting with customers, attending tradeshows, and partnering with marketing on various lead generation and follow up activities. We provide constant on-the-job training to help to develop our employees.

Job Responsibilities

Monitor customer sales activity and nurture new leads and opportunities for the growth of revenue and profit.

Plan and coordinate travel to visit customers in given international territories.

Responsible for developing assigned territory through frequent customer contact, quote follow up, and visits.

Develop assigned territory by expanding targeted accounts, working with engineering on customized part requirements and designs, cooperating with marketing by attending tradeshows and following up on hot leads

Act as the primary contact for customers (in-person and virtually) in assigned territory, including phone, email and video contact.

Work directly with various internal groups (including Engineering, Marketing, Customer Service, Estimating, Quality, etc.) on part designing, pricing, contracts, territory development etc.

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (e.g. Industrial Engineering).

Must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (read, write and speak)

Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering.

Preferred sales experience, with significant direct customer contact.

Must possess the ability to develop and maintain customer relationships through excellent communication skills and understanding of products.

Knowledge of CRM systems and/or other sales systems is a plus.

International travel, up to 6-8 weeks a year

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse groups of people.

Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to be a self-starter and take initiative.

Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
