What will you do?

Coordinates assignments for IT training projects with or without subprojects that cover all phases of project management within the Division of Information Technology (IT) Services

Coordinate IT training resources

Facilitates Agile ceremonies

Designs the process & controls to ensure training meets agreed quality standards and timelines

Directs delivery of services utilizing time management & scope management to define, implement & revise project plans to ensure budget, time, etc. is on target with project objectives

Designs and implements IT training processes and quality controls to ensure IT training outcomes meet established standards

Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop comprehensive IT training materials and user documentation

Facilitates IT training sessions and workshops for internal teams and end users

Defines corrective actions for debugging errors

Monitors software development & resolves system malfunctions to meet quality standards

Liaises with internal teams (developers, product owners, DODD/ITS project management staff)

Works directly with agency, staff &/or end users, focuses on IT training

Provides statistics & reports

Defines policy & procedures for IT training

Provides advice & makes recommendations for improvements to enhance service delivery and IT training effectiveness

Coordinates task or sub projects

Determines if changes need to be made for optimum service delivery

Removes impediments to team progress and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment

Defines IT training project requirements, scope, quality standards & timelines

Determines & evaluates risk that may affect timeline

Defines specific activities to be performed to produce project deliverables

Evaluates deliverables

Ensures projects are ready to move on to the next phase

Addresses problems found

Ensures timelines are met

Provides regular updates of progress, tracks quality assurance metrics, prepares reports (including triage of issues in defects, new requirements, user error, data set-up & system performance for all system applications)

Coordinates & attends status meetings

Creates management & information reports that serve as resources for data-driven decisions

Provides analysis of data at a variety of levels (e.g. micro/macro) that identifies trends & patterns

Makes recommendation for system(s) improvement as result of data analysis

Conducts & coordinates research required for responding appropriately to issues & problems within system(s) for both internal & external users & makes recommendations for resolutions

3 yrs. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal) AND 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

OR

Successful completion of 2 yrs. post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with project to be assigned AND 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

OR

Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
