The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) is seeking a Solutions Analyst, ITS Student to join the Information Technology Services/Enterprise Solutions team.

Compensation:
$25.00/ hr.
Work Schedule:
25-29 hrs. per week based on school schedule.
General Summary:
Under the direction of a Relationship Manager or supervisor, provide support to business support teams and users through research and development of technology solutions that enable the user community to manage their business more effectively.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Help gather information from staff and the IT team to understand what system changes or fixes are needed.
Assist with basic system design, testing, and setup under the guidance of IT staff.
Support simple coding, testing, and documentation tasks based on clear instructions.
Help build and test connections between systems, such as importing/exporting files or supporting cloud based applications like Workday.
Create and update documentation, including instructions, checklists, and user guides.
Provide basic user support and training, such as answering questions about new features or system changes.
Monitor system activity and share any issues or improvements with the IT team.
Follow established procedures when making system updates or changes.

Summary of Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a college program related to Information Systems, Business Systems Analysis, Computer Science, or a similar field required.
Basic understanding of information systems and programming concepts gained through coursework preferred.
Introductory knowledge of databases and cloud-based systems, such as relational databases and SaaS applications preferred.
General awareness of core business topics such as accounting, finance, statistics, or economics through academic studies is preferred.
Familiarity with at least one programming or query language, such as SQL, Java, SAS, or similar tools preferred
Basic understanding of cloud or SaaS platforms, like Workday or Oracle Cloud, preferred
Exposure to common development or analysis tools, such as Power BI, Spring, AI assisted tools, or similar technologies preferred.
Ability to work with and preserve confidential information is required.
Above-average oral and written communication skills required.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with internal and external contacts required.
Above-average organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail required.
Proven ability to operate Microsoft Office programs and standard office equipment required.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision required.
Excellent work record of attendance, punctuality, and the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet business needs. Occasional evenings, weekend and non-regular work hours may be required.
