Paint Prep Tech - 2nd Shift

* 7 minutes from downtown Pekin * 10 minutes from downtown Bartonville * 20 minutes from downtown Peoria * 25 minutes from Canton Job Summary: Paint Prep Techs are employees that cover labor of any sort outside the paint booth.

They handle materials from 2lbs to 1000+lbs.

You will be trained on proper lifting techniques and hoist usage to hang/rig materials.

Additionally, Techs keep the area free of debris and may have to assist in other departments as well.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Operates fork lift and hoist to organize and distribute production material * Fills each work cell demand for material * Washes, preps, sands and rigs parts on paint line * Understands and follow all ISO and 5S initiatives * Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals * Performs other duties as assigned * Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill * Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures.

Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources * Help with other duty's within the paint department Qualifications: * Previous experience on a sit-down, counter balance truck desired.

Will complete fork lift training upon hire * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
