Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator supports a variety of human resources functions to help ensure a positive, efficient, and compliant work environment. This role provides administrative and operational support in recruitment, onboarding, HRIS data management, time and attendance tracking, benefits coordination, and general employee support. The Human Resources Coordinator helps reinforce the organizations culture and values by delivering high-quality Human Resources service to employees and leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

Assist hiring managers with posting job openings and maintaining job descriptions.

Coordinate recruitment activities, including screening applications, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer resources.

Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork, facilitating orientation logistics, and ensuring a smooth start for new employees.

Employee Support & Engagement

Serve as a first point of contact for routine HR questions related to policies, procedures, and general employee inquiries.

Assist in coordinating employee engagement activities, recognition efforts, and culture-building initiatives.

Compliance & Human Resources Administration

Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Assist in the communication and administration of HR policies and procedures.

Support compliance-related tasks such as required postings, audits, and reporting.

Benefits & Leave Coordination

Assist employees with benefit enrollment processes and direct them to appropriate resources for benefit questions.

Support basic leave of absence tracking and documentation (FMLA, personal leave, etc.) in partnership with Human Resources leadership or third-party administrators.

Help coordinate open enrollment materials and employee notifications.

HRIS, Timekeeping & Reporting

Maintain employee information in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.

Support time and attendance tracking, including assisting employees with timecard issues and time off requests.

Prepare standard Human Resources reports and compile data as needed.

Training & Development Support

Assist in scheduling training sessions and tracking completion of required training.

Help maintain training records and materials.

Human Resources Projects & Process Improvements

Participate in Human Resources projects such as workflow updates, documentation improvements, and system enhancements.

Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team as needed.

Requirements

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

13 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role.

Basic knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and HRIS systems preferred.

Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS or payroll systems a plus.

HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus but not required.
