Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare Detailed Estimates:
o Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work.
o Gather pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, labor, and equipment.
o Develop detailed cost breakdowns for all project components, including:
Demolition and site preparation
Structural modifications
MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems
Interior finishes (walls, ceilings, flooring)
Furniture and fixtures
Project management fees
Contingencies
• Develop Proposals:
o Prepare clear and concise cost proposals for clients, including detailed breakdowns and
summaries.
o Present proposals to clients and answer any questions.
• Maintain Cost Databases:
o Update and maintain accurate cost databases for materials, labor, and subcontractors.
o Track historical project costs to identify trends and improve future estimates.
• Collaborate with Project Teams:
o Work closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and budget
management throughout the project lifecycle.
o Assist in resolving any cost-related issues that may arise during construction.
• Stay Informed:
o Keep abreast of industry trends, new materials, and construction technologies.
o Attend industry events and training sessions to enhance estimating skills.
• Analyze tender documents (drawings, specifications, BOQs) to accurately determine the scope of
work.
• Gather pricing information from suppliers, subcontractors, and other relevant sources.
• Develop and maintain cost databases for materials, labor, and subcontractors.
• Conduct site visits (when required) to assess site conditions and identify potential challenges.
Planning:
• Develop realistic project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft
Project).
• Identify critical path activities and potential schedule delays.
• Prepare resource allocation plans for labor, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule variances.
Administrative Support:
• Prepare tender submissions including all necessary documents (cost proposals, schedules,
qualifications, etc.).
• Manage tender deadlines and submission requirements.
• Maintain records of all tender activities (submissions, clarifications, negotiations).
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., design, procurement) as required.
• Provide general administrative support to the Business Development team.
• Must have 15+ years of experience in Technical Department
• Must have Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering
