Louisville, Kentucky, United States 8888 Full-time PI SYSTEMS DEVELOPER Ever wanted to see your PI System work directly impact a live production environment?

Were looking for a hands-on PI System Developer to help bring a brand-new boiler system online at our Louisville production facility.

This is a high-visibility, boots-on-the-ground project where your work fuels real-time monitoring, smarter decisions, and operational success.

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 per year Depending on Experience Location: Louisville, KY Type: Contract role (5 to 6 months with the possibility of extension) Youll play a key role in the startup and stabilization of a new boiler system, partnering with a small, focused team to configure, optimize, and deploy PI data across production systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Create and configure PI Tags for sensor data such as temperature, pressure, and flow Use PI System Management Tools (SMT) to troubleshoot tag issues and validate configurations Optimize Exception and Compression settings to ensure clean, accurate data without inflating the database size Integrate PI Tags with Asset Framework (AF) to add structure and context to raw data Build dashboards, trends, alerts, and reports that support real-time production decisions Collaborate with production operations and fellow developers during system startup What We Are Looking For Strong experience with PI System Management Tools (SMT) Hands-on use of Point Builder and PI Builder for Excel for bulk tag creation Ability to configure tag attributes including: Point Source Data Type (e.g., float32) Engineering Units (EngUnits) Exception Deviation & Compression Solid understanding of OPC, Modbus, MQTT, or proprietary data interfaces Knowledge of PI Tag-level security (Point Security vs.

Data Security) Comfortable working onsite in an active production environment 3 to 5 years PI System Management experience in a large industrial manufacturing environment preferred Experience supporting petrochemical or heavy industrial production a plus OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification a pus College degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Data Science, Engineering, Automation, or related field a plus
