Application Developer (Java)

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Application Developer (Java) in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality

Design and develop user interfaces to enterprise applications in agile methodology

Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives

Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting

Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms

Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools

Participate in SCRUM team meetings

Write and/or refine user stories, acceptance criteria

Write test cases as needed

Requirements

This position requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline; or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field

To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
