Software Engineer/Software Developer

Job Description

The Software Engineer/Software Developer is responsible for designing, executing, testing, monitoring, and improving the software that the Company utilizes for its online platforms, including its digital marketplace and e-commerce center. In this role, the Software Engineer/Software Developer will perform the following tasks:

· Working with team members to write code in various programming languages for the Company’s online platforms and logistic systems that satisfies the Company’s standards for quality, performance, and security in accordance with its timelines and other business necessities;

· Employing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and other instruments and methods to design, to develop, and to deliver software;

· Contributing to testing of the efficiency, the functionality, and the security of the software that the Company uses for its online platforms, documenting the same, identifying deficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and submitting recommendations to leadership for consideration;

· Examining how the software that the company utilizes interfaces with various internal and external systems and devices, identifying deficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and submitting recommendations to leadership for consideration;

· Submitting recommendations for software upgrades for the Company’s existing programs, systems, and devices;

· Documenting every aspect of an application or system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades;

· Collaborating with fellow software engineers/software developers where necessary to ensure that the software for the Company’s online platforms functions as expected.

The requirements for this position are:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information/Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Company Description
