Job Description

The Wasserstrom Company is the leading Food Service Distributor in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family owned company with our headquarters in Columbus, OH. We currently have a Supply Chain Coordinator on our Darling Foodservice Team. We are in search of a highly organized candidate who can lead the administrative function on the team. Responsibilities include: Coordinate Darling Foodservices supply chain operations through the management of the entire purchase order process, vendor coordination and processing of invoices. Acts as team's point of contact for the distribution centers. Handles basic day to day issues and problems and resolves more complex issue in collaboration with a Supervisor or Category Manager.

Detailed Responsibilities Include:

Management of the Entire P.O. Process

Evaluating, planning, and releasing purchase orders to meet business requirements and objectives; monitoring delivery, including purchase order acknowledgements and confirmation of the correct price, vendors, product, date of shipment, and quantities; provide timely information and follow-up regarding delivery and availability.

Vendor and Item Management

Set-up new items, vendors and pricing of products through communication with cross-functional sales and support teams. Acquire invoices from all vendors to ensure customer payment is received

Freight Process Communication

Managing the incoming and outgoing freight process to ensure the timely shipment delivery and pick up schedules; communicate accurate information relating to delivery, pricing and availability.

Invoice Processing

Receive and invoice, inventory systemically and reconcile all discrepancies

Additional Duties Include:

Assist with the coordination of on-line and print catalogs, cut sheets, website marketing and social media.

Participating in new projects

Data administration and reporting to include data collection and verification

Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

2 Year / Associate Degree

1 - 3 years related experience and/or training

Preferred experience in SAP and OnBase

Other Skills and Abilities:

Proficient computer skills; ability to use MS Office Suite, including Outlook

Technical ability to learn and use a variety of software programs, such as SAP and Onbase

Communicates well with others; speaks and writes clearly; asks for and offers help when needed

Interpersonal; resolves questions and concerns in a professional manner; maintains confidentiality

Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness

Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
