Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of experience and a current SD license to provide patient care across acute, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute care setting with coverage for outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing facility patients

Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends and no call duties

Department has 8 beds and delivers services primarily in a hospital-based outpatient environment, with some inpatient and sub-acute coverage

Uses EPIC (One Chart) for computerized charting and documentation

Utilizes various modality equipment relevant to physical therapy

Responsibilities include administering physical therapy interventions, establishing and modifying therapeutic plans, and educating clients and families on treatment and self-care

Must demonstrate proficiency in age-related treatments and integrate current research into daily practice

Department provides Sanford standard orientation for safety and HIPAA, and specific training on departmental equipment and modalities

Dress code is casual attire

All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility

Returning employees must have an employment end date at least 6 months prior to consideration

Local candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles may be considered with adjusted pay

Requirements

Current SD Physical Therapist license required; license required if applicable

Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist

Active BLS certification required at time of consideration

Ability to document and manage caseloads using EPIC EMR
