American Drilling and Foundations is seeking an experienced Drill Rig Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will take charge of drilling operations and tooling while managing a skilled crew. This position involves 100% travel (Company Paid), providing an exciting opportunity to work in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate state-of-the-art foundation drill rigs.

Drill holes from 2" to 9' in diameter and depths exceeding 40'.

Lead safety meetings adhering to OSHA standards.

Perform minor repairs on drilling equipment in the field, including hydraulic hose replacement and electrical troubleshooting.

Maintain equipment effectively, demonstrating mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic systems.

Complete detailed drilling logs and equipment inspection reports.

Forecast and procure necessary equipment, tooling, and materials.

Be available for extended travel (up to 6 weeks) with subsequent breaks of 7-10 days.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to complete projects efficiently.

Experience in leading a successful team.

Willingness to travel and work away from home as needed.

Familiarity with Soilmec or similar foundation drill rigs.

Experience with steel casings and drilling mud in challenging soil conditions.

Proficient in drilling in hard rock.

Experience in forming piers and placing concrete is a plus.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.

Minimum of 1 year operating Soilmec or similar drill rigs.

CDL is preferred.

Physical Requirements and Environment:

This role involves heavy physical work, frequently lifting and moving objects up to 100 pounds. Employees must be able to stand, walk, use hands, climb, kneel, and endure various outdoor weather conditions.

Required Experience:

Drilling hard rock: 1 year

Operating Soilmec and IMT track-mounted drills: 1 year

Team leadership: 1 year

Experience with steel casings and drilling mud in poor soil: 1 year
