Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Purpose

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant within a luxury five-star hotel setting. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences, maintains high service standards, and assists in managing staff, inventory, and financial performance. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to hotel standards.

Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and safety compliance in all areas.

Guest Experience:

Ensure personalized, high-quality service to guests, addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly.

Maintain strong knowledge of menu offerings, wine pairings, and special promotions.

Team Leadership:

Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff to deliver exceptional service.

Assist in scheduling shifts and managing labor costs effectively.

Financial & Inventory Control:

Support in monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and achieving revenue targets.

Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock control.

Compliance & Standards:

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Uphold brand standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field.

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory role within a fine dining or luxury hotel environment.

Skills:

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of food & beverage operations and wine service.

Proficiency in POS systems and MS Office.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
